"Toto, I don't think we're in Jersey anymore."

On the border...of Virginia!

The Hilton Garden Inn

The bridge into Maryland

Today was a pretty long day. Our day more or less started at 6, when we rushed to the kitchen for breakfast before doing some last minute packing.

Our goal was to leave home by 7:00.
We were pulling out of the driveway by 7:40.

Not bad, considering it always seems to take us %60 longer than we plan.

We passed through 4 states, including one Juliana and I had never been in before, to get to where we are right now, the Hilton Garden Inn in Roanoke Rapids.

About four hours into the ride, we stopped at an On The Boarder in Virginia. I was really surprised at how similar it is to the one by us, right down to the patterns of the plates on the walls.

We finally got here after spending 9 or so hours in the car, all of which was spent watching falling asleep to Seinfeld.

After arriving, we spent some time in the pool then went to Lone Star (for the first time in four years!).

Tomorrow we're checking out and sitting through 3 more hours of Seinfeld while we trek to our destination in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Your friend,
Shaina
